NICE operators for swing gates and pedestrian gates
Automation of a swing gate using a drive is achieved with two basic components: control unit and gate drive. Connect a 230 V power supply to the control unit; it supplies 24 V to each drive arm. There is usually also a requirement for gate remote control, which consists of two components: radio receiver and radio transmitter (remote control). Common accessories include photocells to detect obstacles in the gate opening, and a warning warning light. Comparison of swing gate operators
In principle, we offer two operator ranges: Wingo and Toona.
The Wingo range is our basic, best-selling range for light-duty use. Wiring accessories into the MC424L control unit is conventional. The Wingo range includes two models: Wingo WG2024 and Wingo WG3524.
The Toona range is based on more modern technology. NICE BlueBUS, where each accessory is connected to the MC824H control unit using only a two-core cable. The Toona range includes three models: Toona TO4024, TO5024, TO7024. When choosing the right operator, you need to consider the gate leaf width and weight, as well as whether the gate has solid or open infill.

Note: As you can see from the charts, these are limit values; that is, a gate leaf up to 2m/400kg does notmean that the maximum permissible gate leaf for this operator must be 2m and 400kg; it means it could be, for example, 2m and 200kg, or 1m and 400kg, or values between these limits, as shown in the chart.
Whether your gate has solid or open infill is important when determining the operator voltage. If you have a large, opaque gate and live in a particularly windy area, we recommend choosing the 230V version of the operator. Wind acting on the gate surface like a sail may push against the operator, which may interpret this as an obstacle and stop the operation. You would then have to send another command to close the gate. 230-volt operator models have motors that are less sensitive.
