Mounting of photovoltaic panels on the roof is made possible by a system of mounting components. When choosing components for mounting panels, take into account the type of roof (pitched or flat) and the roofing material (sheet metal, tiles, or asphalt).

For mounting photovoltaic panels on pitched roofs it is important to choose the right roof hooks, rails, and clamps.

Our range includes stainless steel roof hooks, with the option of side-mounting the panel, mounting from underneath, adjusting the mounting angle or adjustment at 3 points, as well as roof hooks for shingle roofs, or for trapezoidal roofing. The number of roof hooks required depends on the dimensions of the photovoltaic panels and the roof configuration, but as a general rule, we recommend 1-2 hooks per panel.

Rail with mounting options on both the underside and the side for greater flexibility; it can be extended using a connector to match the dimensions of the solar panel.

Mounts or clamps are used to attach the panel to the rail. End clamps are positioned around the perimeter of the panels, while the mid clamp is designed to secure two panels together. The number of end clamps required is the number of panels x2. For mid clamps, the number required is equal to the number of panels.

For flat roofs, a photovoltaic system can be installed using ballast systems, in which the panels are mounted on a structure held in place by ballast (e.g. concrete blocks), so there is no need to drill into the roof. In this case, the rail is anchored to the concrete block. Another option is a frame system, where the mounting frames are secured to the roof using through-bolts.

Choose the appropriate solution based on the roofing material: sheet metal (self-drilling screws and clamps), tiles (roof hooks), or asphalt (roof hooks or anchors).
