Roof hooks for mounting photovoltaic panels
Roof hooks form the basis for fastening mounting rails to the roof when installing photovoltaic panels. Hooks vary depending on the specific roof type and roofing material, as well as the panel mounting position. They are suitable for pitched roofs.
Our range includes stainless steel roof hooks, with the option of side-mounting the panel, from underneath, with an adjustable mounting angle or with adjustment at 3 points, as well as roof hooks for shingle roofs, or for trapezoidal surfaces. The number of roof hooks required depends on the dimensions of the photovoltaic panels and the roof configuration; however, as a general guide, we recommend 1–2 hooks per panel.
The lower part of the roof hook is fastened to the wooden roof structure beneath the tiles using washer-head screws with a diameter of Ø8 mm; the length depends on the roof structure. The upper part is fastened to the rail using a T-bolt and secured with a flange nut. The square nut and cylindrical-head screw are then used to secure the clamp, which holds the solar panel.
