Mailboxes
Letterboxes are an essential feature of every house and apartment. Letterboxes are usually fitted to a fence or gate, or directly to the wall of the house. It is important that the letterbox can be accessed from outside the property boundary.
Depending on how they are installed, letterboxes are divided into surface-mounted and wall-mounted letterboxes, which are installed in thicker fences.
Depending on the material and surface finish, letterboxes are divided into stainless steel and painted steel versions, with glossy, matt or patinated finishes.
In terms of shape, letterboxes are divided into envelope-style, parcel and American-style models.
How do you choose the right size for an envelope-style letterbox?
The most common office paper size is A4. A sheet of this paper folded in half is designated A5, and folded into quarters, A6. These three paper sizes, A4, A5 and A6, can fit into envelopes designated C4, C5 and C6, respectively.
In other words, A sizes are paper and C sizes are envelopes.
There are also B4, B5 and B6, which are even larger envelopes that can fit C4, C5 and C6 envelopes, respectively, or a thicker bundle of paper (e.g. a catalogue or magazine) in A4, A5 or A6 format, respectively.
