Telescopic system for a track-mounted gate
Telescopic gates solve situations in places where there isn’t enough space to open a standard sliding gate. When choosing the right solution you need to know two things:: the driveway opening width and the width of the space available for the open gate to slide into.

In this category, you’ll find components for track-mounted telescopic gates. They can consist of two, three, four, or even more sections. The more sections there are, the higher the initial cost of the gate. Two- and three-section telescopic gates are the most commonly used.

Two-panel track gate saves 40–50% of the space required to slide it open. For example, a standard track gate with a 4 m clear opening requires approximately 4.5 m of space to slide open. If you use a two-panel telescopic gate with the same 4 m clear opening, approximately 2.5 m, including clearance, will be enough to slide it open.
Three-panel track gate saves 55–65% of the space required to slide it open. The same example: a standard track gate with a 4 m clear opening requires approximately 4.5 m of space to slide open. If you use a three-panel telescopic gate with a 4 m clear opening, approximately 1.8 m, including clearance, will be enough to slide it open.
We give the dimensions as “approximate” because the exact length of a gate section can vary depending on the overlap you require between the individual gate panels. You can adjust this to suit your needs. In general, however, we can use the calculation shown in the illustration, for example:
A=400cm, B=6, C=40. Substituting these values into the calculation gives a length (L) of 243cm for each section. The same calculation applies to a three-panel gate; simply substitute the number of panels the telescopic gate consists of instead of the number 2.

Standard gate operators are used for telescopic gates, but the individual panels of a telescopic gate open simultaneously. As a result, a two-panel telescopic gate opens twice as fast.
