Description of Telescopic system for a 2-panel sliding gate, without wheels
Set of galvanized steel components optimized for installing a 2-leaf telescopic sliding gate. Additional telescopic kits can be purchased to enable telescopic operation of a multi-section gate. This system transfers force from one gate leaf to the other. The set is ready for installation in a right-hand configuration. If installing on the opposite side, follow the same instructions in the manual but interpret them in reverse: install the mounting sets the other way around and prepare the leaves accordingly.
The assembly includes a 10m stainless steel cable. For example, for a two-panel gate with a 4m opening, you need a cable approximately 6m long (including extra length). The cable must wrap around one section of the gate at both the front and back (see image below), with additional length allowed for anchoring the cable. As an optional accessory, you can choose a cover strip for the guide cable for added system protection.
A 10m cable is therefore suitable for a two-panel telescopic gate with an opening of up to approximately 8m but the components are also suitable for larger gates; you will need to use a longer cable. The required cable length is approximate and depends on the total length of each gate section.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE
After completing the installation and performing a few manual test cycles, make sure that no parts are loose and that the gate does not catch anywhere. Regularly check that the moving parts are secure and that the telescopic system is properly lubricated.
If the gate is struck by a moving vehicle or due to another factor, check that no damage has been caused to the components supporting and moving the gate.
If the gate starts having trouble moving or vibrates during a cycle, check the guide rollers and other moving parts for wear, and replace them if necessary. These components have a significantly shorter service life in particularly humid, salty, acidic, or dusty environments, or in temperatures above 120°C.
Pay particular attention to the motor and its speed on powered gates:
- high speed (during start-up or run-down) is harmful to the system and can cause problems and malfunctions
- very low speed, on the other hand, leads to an “elastic effect” between the moving gate panels
