Switches, buttons, readers
If you need to control access to a site, industrial building or residence for multiple users, choose wireless buttons, card readers or keypads to suit your needs. Wireless buttons can also be used as part of a smart home system.
Switches and buttons are used for manual control of gate operators, barriers, etc. Readers provide contactless access using RFID cards or key fobs.
Wireless buttons - press a button to send an open or close command. Depending on the number of buttons, you can control several devices, with each button able to operate one device (an operator, awning, barrier, electric lock, etc.).
Key switches - turn the key to operate one gate operator or barrier. Wiring is required.
Card readers - allow access to a building or control of for a gate or other automated system, by authorised persons only. That person is assigned a card or key fob, which sends a command to the operator when held up to the card reader. Cards are stored in the reader's memory; the card itself does not store any information, so it can be used to operate any number of automated systems.
Keypads - available in wired and wireless versions; entering a security code sends a command from the device.
Timers - allow you to control a gate or any electrical device according to programmed times and days. Time switches can send a command to a device based on a specified time and date.
