Limit stops for NICE articulated-arm swing gate operators
The mechanical stops are designated NICE PLA13 and can be easily moved to the other side or purchased separately. The electromechanical switches are wired to the motor, so moving them to the other side is not quite so straightforward. The opening limit stop has a shorter cable than the closing limit stop, so the cables need to be extended when moving this stop. Therefore, when choosing 230 V operators, you should take the gate's opening direction into account (when the gate opens outwards, the limit stops work in reverse).
Example: I want a gate without a mechanical stop in the middle of the ground. For inward opening, you also need a closing stop on the operator. However, if your gate opens outwards, you only need an opening stop, as it works in reverse—as a closing stop—when the gate opens outwards.

NICE piston operators do not have internal stops. The motor either reaches the end of its travel or rests against an external mechanical stop.
