Description of NICE Run RUN1500P – standalone drive for sliding gates
NICE RUN1500P is a standalone irreversible drive for a sliding gate with a leaf weighing up to 1,500 kg and 14 m. The motor is 24 V DC, mains power supply 230 V AC. It has a built-in RBA3R10 control unit and inductive limit switch.
RUN1500P detects the end positions without a mechanical lever. The standalone motor differs from the kit: choose the radio receiver, remote control, photocells, warning light and rack to suit the equipment required.
Accessories and control unit
The standalone drive includes the control unit. For a complete automation system, add a rack, controls and safety devices to suit the specific gate.
| What | Why | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Control unit | For drive setup and servicing; when replacing the board, check the marking on the installed board. | |
| Warning light | Signals movement. The FLASH output is low-voltage. | |
| Photocells | They detect an obstruction in the protected area. They do not replace an assessment of all gate-related risks. | |
| Transmitter | Choose remote controls according to the receiver and radio coding family. | |
| Receiver | Without a receiver, the standalone motor cannot receive radio commands. NICE receivers. |
|
| Mobile control | Distinguish between drive setup and everyday operation. Wi-Fi relay modules connect via a volt-free contact. |
|
| Antenna | Improves reception when suitably positioned. The antenna does not power the beacon. |
|
| Keypad | Access without a separate remote control. | |
| Key switch | Key-operated control via a volt-free contact. | |
| Card readers | Access using a card or key fob. |
|
| Rack | Transfers movement from the pinion to the gate leaf. Choose the type according to the load and mounting method. | |
| Backup power supply | Enables limited operation during a power outage. |
|
Current replacement board: RBA3R10. Older RBA3 has been replaced. For an existing installation, check the actual control board and connectors; the RUN family designation alone does not mean that all models use the same control unit.
RUN1500P standalone drive equipment
RUN1500P is supplied as a standalone motor with control unit. Choose the radio receiver, remote controls, photocells, warning light and rack to suit the specific gate. Agree on the kit contents when placing your order.
Drive features
- Durable epoxy-finished aluminium-alloy housing and impact-resistant cover.
- BlueBUS with two-wire wiring and support for addressed photocells.
- Adjustment speed, force and pause; optional automatic closing.
- The control unit takes temperature into account and limits the number of manoeuvres in the event of overload. The force margin must still be verified mechanically.
- Warning light and LED diagnostics, memory of the last eight manoeuvres and a service counter.
- Master/Slave for two sliding leaves that move in opposite directions.
Choosing a drive and operating limits
RUN1500P is designed for one sliding gate leaf weighing up to 1 500 kg and measuring up to 14 m. Weight, length and resistance to movement must be assessed together. The maximum weight rating does not mean that every 1 500 kg gate should be operated at the highest speed.
| What to check | Limit / condition |
|---|---|
| Gate leaf weight | Maximum 1 500 kg; the number of cycles and permitted speed decrease as the weight increases. |
| Gate leaf length | Maximum 14 m; length determines the baseline number of cycles. |
| Start-up | The required force must be less than half of 1 000 N, i.e. less than 500 N. |
| Smooth movement | The required force must be less than half of 560 N, i.e. less than 280 N along the entire travel path. |
| Safety margin | NICE recommends a 50% force margin to allow for increased friction in adverse weather. |
For typical installations, we also recommend allowing a margin on dimensions and weight, aiming for around 80% of the maximum values. This is a selection aid, not a substitute for measuring the required force or checking wind, icing and the cycle table. The gate leaf must slide smoothly by hand and must not move off on its own.
Number of cycles by gate length
| Gate leaf length | Cycles/h | Consecutive |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 4 m | 60 | 30 |
| Over 4 m up to 6 m | 40 | 20 |
| Over 6 m up to 7 m | 34 | 17 |
| Over 7 m up to 8 m | 30 | 15 |
| Over 8 m up to 10 m | 20 | 12 |
| Over 10 m up to 12 m | 20 | 10 |
| Over 12 m up to 14 m | 17 | 8 |
Reduction based on weight
| Gate leaf weight | Percentage of cycles | Maximum speed |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 200 kg | 100% | V6 |
| Over 200 kg up to 400 kg | 100% | V6 |
| Over 400 kg up to 500 kg | 95% | V6 |
| Over 500 kg up to 600 kg | 90% | V5 |
| Over 600 kg up to 700 kg | 85% | V5 |
| Over 700 kg up to 800 kg | 80% | V5 |
| Over 800 kg up to 900 kg | 75% | V5 |
| Over 900 kg up to 1 000 kg | 70% | V4 |
| Over 1 000 kg up to 1 200 kg | 65% | V4 |
| Over 1 200 kg up to 1 350 kg | 60% | V3 |
| Over 1 350 kg up to 1 500 kg | 55% | V3 |
Multiply the values in the first table by the percentage in the second table and do not exceed the result. One cycle consists of opening and closing. Example: 5 m / 650 kg gate leaf: 40 × 0.85 = 34 cycles/h, 20 × 0.85 = 17 consecutive cycles, maximum V5. Continuous operation is limited to 10 minutes. At high temperatures, the protection system may further limit the number of movements. Speed adjustment.
Estimated service life
Add the length, weight, and relevant condition indices. Find the total on the horizontal axis and read off the approximate number of cycles. The result is an estimate based on regular maintenance, not a guarantee of service life or a number of years.
| Properties of the complete automation system | Index | Service life graph |
|---|---|---|
| Length under 6 m | 5% |
Horizontal axis: index in %. |
| 6 to 9 m | 10% | |
| 9 to 12 m | 15% | |
| 12 to 14 m | 20% | |
| Weight 100 to 200 kg | 5% | |
| 200 to 400 kg | 10% | |
| 400 to 600 kg | 20% | |
| 600 to 800 kg | 30% | |
| 800 to 1,000 kg | 40% | |
| 1,000 to 1,200 kg | 50% | |
| 1,200 to 1,500 kg | 60% | |
| Above 40 °C / below 0 °C or humidity above 80% | 20% | |
| Dust, sand, or salinity | 15% | |
| Speed higher than L4 “fast” | 15% |
Example: 6.5 m / 450 kg in a dusty environment: 10% + 20% + 15% = 45%, approximately 200,000 cycles on the graph. For values at the boundary between ranges, use the higher index for a conservative assessment. Do not extrapolate beyond the range shown on the graph. The operator must not be installed in an acidic, saline, or explosive atmosphere; the salinity row in the table does not permit such use.
Installing the operator and rack
Have installation and electrical connection carried out by a qualified person. Before carrying out any work, disconnect the mains and any battery or solar power supply. The gate must have sturdy mechanical end stops, protection against derailment, and sufficiently robust guidance. The operator limit switch does not replace the gate’s mechanical stop.
- Check that the gate moves smoothly by hand along its entire travel and force limits. Protect against trapping hazards, including at the rear of the sliding gate leaf.
- Choose a firm, level foundation away from areas subject to flooding. Keep the key and cover accessible. Prepare the cable conduits so that they do not direct water into the operator.
- Position the anchor plate parallel to the gate, as shown in the original drawing. The anchor thread should extend approximately 30–40 mm above the plate. Allow the concrete to cure completely before tightening.
- Fit the operator and align it with the gate leaf. After installing the rack, tighten the fasteners and cover the nuts with the supplied caps.
Toothed rack – module 4
The pinion has module 4, 18 teeth. The rack must have the same module and a load capacity suitable for the gate leaf. The weight of the gate must not rest on the pinion. Choose nylon or steel versions based on the specifications of the specific rack, not just on the matching module.
- Release the motor and position the gate leaf at least 50 cm from the closed end position when installing the rack.
- Attach the rack to the gate leaf using suitable brackets; maintain a gap between the rack and pinion along the entire travel of 1–2 mm.
- When joining sections, maintain consistent tooth spacing. Move the gate through its full travel by hand and check the alignment; according to the manufacturer, lateral misalignment must not exceed 5 mm.
- After tightening, check again that movement is free, the clearance is correct, and the limit switches work.
End positions – differences between versions
The RUN1500P has an inductive limit switch. It detects the limit actuators without mechanically pressing a lever. During installation, set the sensing elements according to the supplied RBA1 assembly so that they respond reliably in both directions before reaching the mechanical stops. Adjust the inductive sensing elements of this operator.
Before programming, set the opening direction using the switch on the control board, according to the operator orientation. Disconnect all power supplies before changing the direction. After programming the travel check that the operator slows down approximately 50–70 cm before the end and stops approximately 2–3 cm before the mechanical stop. Confirm the actual position by testing both directions.
Wiring
| Purpose | Cable and maximum length |
|---|---|
| Mains power supply | 3 × 1.5 mm² up to 30 m. For longer runs, use 3 × 2.5 mm² and protective earthing at the automation system, as specified by the electrician. |
| Flashing light | 2 × 0.5 mm²; 20 m. |
| Antenna | RG58; max. 20 m, recommended length under 5 m. |
| BlueBUS / photocells | 2 × 0.5 mm² up to 30 m; for runs over 30 m and up to 50 m, use 2 × 1 mm². |
| Fixed safety edges | 2 × 0.5 mm²; 30 m, connection according to STOP type. |
| Moving safety edge | 2 × 0.5 mm²; 30 m; use a suitable device to transfer the signal to the moving gate leaf, e.g. FT210B. |
| Key switch | 2 cables, each 2 × 0.5 mm², or one 4 × 0.5 mm² cable; 50 m. |
Use cables suitable for the environment. Leave approximately 20–30 cm of spare cable inside the operator and secure the cables so they cannot be pulled out of the terminals. The mains supply cable must have a protective conductor and provision for complete, safe disconnection.
Connections and orientation on the control board
The operator power supply is 230 V AC; the motor itself is 24 V DC. Do not connect mains voltage to the low-voltage terminals or BlueBUS. The board has OPEN, STOP/SET, and CLOSE buttons, LEDs L1–L8, an SM receiver connector, and a BusT4 interface via IBT4N.
Wiring diagram
FLASH = warning light; OGI = programmable output; TX/RX = photocell transmitter and receiver; Aerial = antenna; Receiver = remote-control receiver; Selector = direction selector switch. The terminal markings are the same as those on the board.
| Terminal | Connection and important condition |
|---|---|
| FLASH | Output for one or two warning lights with 12 V bulbs, up to 21 W, as specified in the manufacturer's wiring instructions. For LED equipment, use a compatible ELDC. Warning light and antenna. |
| OGI | 24 V DC (−30% / +50%), up to 4 W; the function is set by II/L4. The factory setting is radio output 3, not an open-gate indicator by default. The +/− polarity of this output is not marked in the diagram; do not infer it from the auxiliary power supply. |
| BlueBUS | Two-wire power supply and communication for compatible accessories. Photocells are connected in parallel with no polarity. |
| STOP | Safety input for NO, NC, or 8.2 kΩ devices; the type is identified during the learning procedure. A change of state stops movement and briefly reverses direction. |
| SbS | Step-by-step command via a voltage-free NO contact; behavior is set by II/L2. |
| OPEN | Open via a voltage-free NO contact. |
| CLOSE | Close via a voltage-free NO contact. If I/L7 ON, it is a partial opening. |
| Aux In | Auxiliary input, factory-set to NC with the STOP function. Reprogram via Oview. It is not an accessory power output. |
| ANTENNA / Aerial | Connect the coaxial cable's core and shield as shown in the original diagram; this is not a +/− power connection. |
Auxiliary power supply – specific polarity
With the connector oriented as shown in the following image: right terminal of the STOP pair = negative (−), left terminal of the SbS pair = positive (+). The auxiliary output is 24 V DC, −30% / +50%, maximum 100 mA total. On the accessory, connect + to the power supply's + and − to its −; its NO/COM control contact remains separate.
This polarity applies to this auxiliary power connection only. Do not apply it to FLASH, OGI, the antenna, or BlueBUS. A module with higher power consumption must have a suitable separate power supply; connect its voltage-free contact to SbS. Aux In is not used for power.
ELDC warning light and antenna
ELDC has a low-voltage light input of 12–36 V DC; connect it to FLASH. The detail below distinguishes the light terminals from the antenna terminals. Do not connect 230 V to the light terminals. In the wiring shown, the manufacturer does not indicate the +/− polarity of the light terminals; do not use the polarity of the STOP/SbS auxiliary output for them.
Antenna
Connect the ELDC antenna or ABFKIT using a separate RG58 cable to the antenna input: connect the core to the signal symbol and the braid to the shield symbol as shown in the diagram. Do not connect the antenna wires to the power terminals. The antenna must match the receiver frequency.
Key switch, relay, and command inputs
SbS, OPEN, and CLOSE require voltage-free NO contacts. With EKS or a relay module, connect COM and NO of the selected contact to the two terminals of the relevant input. Contacts have no +/− polarity. Do not supply power to the inputs from the module. With a continuously closed OPEN contact, the gate may remain open as it would with a timer; do not switch off the drive's mains supply for this purpose.
STOP and safety edge
| Device type | Wiring principle |
|---|---|
| NO contacts | In parallel. |
| NC contacts | In series. |
| Two 8.2 kΩ edges | The manufacturer permits parallel wiring; for more than two, use a cascade with one 8.2 kΩ terminating resistor. |
| NO / NC combination | Parallel branches, with an 8.2 kΩ series resistor in the NC branch, as specified in the approved wiring diagram. |
Voltage-free contacts and passive resistive safety edges have no power supply +/−. An electronic safety edge may require its own power supply – check its instructions. After each wiring change, perform device learning and a safety test. NO/NC wiring alone does not guarantee the same fault diagnostics as a resistive safety edge. Do not bypass the safety input to clear a fault.
BlueBUS photocells
For example, EPMB: connect both TX and RX in parallel to the same two BlueBUS wires. There is no positive or negative polarity. The TX and RX of one pair must have the same links and address; assign the next pair a different supported address. After adding or removing a device, repeat the learning procedure.
| Pair address | Protected movement / placement |
|---|---|
| PHOTO | Outer pair, approximately 50 cm; stops and reverses movement when closing. |
| PHOTO II | Outer pair, approximately 100 cm; closing protection. |
| PHOTO 1 | Inner pair, approximately 50 cm; closing protection. |
| PHOTO 1 II | Inner pair, approximately 100 cm; closing protection. |
| PHOTO 2 | Outer pair for opening protection. |
| PHOTO 2 II | Inner pair for opening protection. |
| PHOTO 3 | Pair covering the entire movement area; use with PHOTO II requires correct relative positioning of TX/RX. |
The exact jumper settings are shown on the EPMB – jumper table. After setting the addresses, check optical alignment and the response of each pair in its protected direction. For a standard safety configuration, do not change a pair into an opening command by cutting jumper A.
EPMOW requires IBW and is not a substitute for a wired pair without additional equipment. FT210B with a battery-powered transmitter on the moving gate leaf transmits the resistive safety edge status over BlueBUS; its wiring and addressing are specified in the FT210B instructions.
Initial startup and setup
- Check the installation, limit switches, grounding and wiring. The gate leaf must be approximately halfway along its travel, and the motor must be locked.
- Connect the power supply. BlueBUS should flash approximately once per second; the TX/RX photocells should indicate operation, and FLASH and OGI should be off. If there is a fault, disconnect the power supply and check the wiring.
- Run device setup, then travel setup, and finally perform the tests. The entire area must be clear while the gate is moving.
Device setup – OPEN + STOP/SET
- Press and hold OPEN and STOP/SET simultaneously for about 3 seconds.
- Release the buttons when L1 and L2 start flashing rapidly.
- Wait for setup to complete. The STOP LED must be lit, and L1/L2 must stop indicating that setup is in progress. L1–L8 then show the function statuses.
Perform this step even if no safety accessories are connected. If L1/L2 are flashing, device recognition is not complete; do not proceed to travel setup without checking.
Travel setup – CLOSE + STOP/SET
- After successful device recognition, press and hold CLOSE and STOP/SET for about 3 seconds.
- Release the buttons when the motor starts. The first movement should be opening. If it closes, press STOP/SET, disconnect the power supply, correct the direction switch setting, and repeat the procedure.
- The operator opens the gate to the limit switch and then closes it. Wait for the entire setup procedure to complete and watch for any diagnostics.
- Perform several full opening and closing cycles. Check the slowdown, end positions, and that the motor is not pressing against a fixed stop.
Testing and handover
- Check that the installation is secure and test the manual release. During testing, the gate leaf must be manually movable in both directions with a force of no more than 390 N; it must also meet the stricter force requirements for selecting the operator.
- Test each photocell pair and safety edge separately. When the state changes, BlueBUS indicates this with two rapid flashes; also check that the gate leaf responds correctly.
- Have the forces professionally measured after adjusting sensitivity and after any change that could affect safety. Meeting the weight limit and having photocells alone are not sufficient.
- Provide the instructions, documentation for the complete automation system, release instructions and maintenance schedule. Do not hand over the gate with safety testing incomplete.
Control unit programming
OPEN / CLOSE scroll through the LED selections; STOP/SET confirms a selection or opens programming when held. In normal operation, they open, stop and close the gate. Change settings only when the gate is stationary. Repeat the test after changing force, speed or the behaviour of safety devices.
Level I – enabling and disabling functions
- Hold STOP/SET until L1 starts flashing, approximately 3 seconds; then release it.
- Use OPEN or CLOSE to select the function LED.
- Briefly press STOP/SET. A short flash means OFF; a longer flash means ON.
- If required, change another function. If no button is pressed for approximately 10 seconds, programming ends and the changes are saved.
| LED – function and meaning | Status |
|---|---|
| L1 – Automatic closing ON: after opening, the gate closes after the pause set in II/L1. OFF: automatic closing disabled. | Factory default: OFF ON = enabled OFF = disabled |
| L2 – Closing after photocell activation ON: the gate closes 5 seconds after the photocell is cleared. If automatic closing is disabled, the gate first completes opening; if it is enabled, clearing the photocell may shorten the opening time. STOP cancels this sequence. | Factory default: OFF ON = enabled OFF = disabled |
| L3 – Always close ON: when power is restored, the unit detects an open gate and starts closing after a 5-second pre-warning flash. OFF: this recovery action is not performed. | Factory default: OFF ON = enabled OFF = disabled |
| L4 – Standby ON: approximately one minute after movement ends, BlueBUS and the indicators switch off, except for the slow BlueBUS flashing; operation resumes when a command is received. Useful with battery or solar power. | Factory default: OFF ON = enabled OFF = disabled |
| L5 – Starting boost ON: uses maximum force at startup instead of gradual acceleration. After startup, II/L5 applies. OFF: gradual startup. | Factory default: OFF ON = enabled OFF = disabled |
| L6 – Pre-flashing ON: the warning light flashes for 3 seconds before movement starts. OFF: it starts flashing when movement begins. | Factory setting: OFF ON = enabled OFF = disabled |
| L7 – CLOSE as partial opening ON: the CLOSE input controls partial opening according to II/L6. OFF: the CLOSE input closes the gate. | Factory setting: OFF ON = enabled OFF = disabled |
| L8 – Slave mode ON: slave motor in a pair; commands and movement are controlled by the Master. OFF: standalone / master control. | Factory setting: OFF ON = enabled OFF = disabled |
Level II – parameter values
- Press and hold STOP/SET until L1 flashes, then release. Use OPEN/CLOSE to select the parameter input LED.
- Press and hold STOP/SET again. After about 3 seconds, the value LED lights up.
- Keep holding STOP/SET and use OPEN/CLOSE to select the value.
- Release STOP/SET. Without pressing anything else, wait about 10 seconds for the setting to save and the menu to exit.

Adjusting speed and force does not replace the need to eliminate friction or remove an obstruction. When OGI is used as a gate indicator, it is off when the gate is closed, on when open, flashes slowly while opening, and quickly while closing. When using the lock function, ensure the device matches the output voltage and limit.
Long SbS command – hold the gate open
An SbS command lasting more than 2 s allows the gate to open and remain open, for example when controlled by a timer. This applies unless the SbS input has been reprogrammed to the closing function. For normal operation with a relay module, select a short pulse; continuous activation may cause unexpected behavior.
Remote controls, BusT4 and backup
With the power off, install the receiver in the SM connector. The standalone operator does not include a radio receiver; add a receiver to suit the required features. Remote control compatibility depends on the receiver and its configured coding family, not just on the frequency.
| Receiver | Remote control selection |
|---|---|
| OXIBD | Remote controls MYGO2, MYGO4, MYGO8, DOMIW3C, ON3EBD depending on the supported unidirectional or bidirectional mode. For older remotes, check the memory family that is set. |
| OXI | Unidirectional O-Code / FloR control, e.g. ON2E, ON4E, ON9E, INTI2, FLO2RE, FLO2R-S. The receiver also supports other coding families; when adding a remote, check the family of the memory already stored. |
| SMXI | Unidirectional receiver with FloR coding, e.g. FLO2RE, FLO2R-S. SMXIS is a different receiver for Smilo; do not confuse these designations or remotes. |
| OXILR | Long range with compatible LR transmitters, e.g. ON3ELR. The LR benefits apply when used with a compatible LR remote. |
Radio commands
| Receiver output | Control board command |
|---|---|
| 1 | SbS – step-by-step command |
| 2 | Partial opening |
| 3 | Open |
| 4 | Close |
Pair and delete remotes according to the specific receiver; the motor buttons are not the radio memory button. NICE remote pairing instructions and the selected receiver’s card provide the relevant procedures. After storing, test each button and the command it actually triggers.
BusT4 / IBT4N and Aux In
Oview connects via IBT4N to BusT4; it enables configuration, diagnostics and management of compatible controls. BIDI-WIFI is primarily a programming and diagnostic interface. When choosing a module for everyday mobile control, check the connection method, range and number of users. BiDi-ZWave is used to connect a compatible operator to a Z-Wave system. Select both modules for the actual control board version installed and the relevant Opera interface. BusT4 is not a pair of power supply terminals. Do not connect the connector to BlueBUS or the antenna.
Aux In is a factory-set NC safety input with a STOP function; it can be assigned another function via Oview. After changing it, verify the gate’s resulting response. The external relay’s power supply must be handled separately, according to polarity and the 100 mA limit.
Backup battery and Solemyo
For a compatible RBA3R10, you can use the original PS124 or the current PSS124 with the correct cable supplied for the R10. Connect the battery only after installation and programming are complete, with the mains power disconnected. Use the designated connector and a protected location inside the operator; do not connect the battery to the motor, FLASH or BlueBUS terminals.
After connecting, test operation both on mains power and on battery power. The number of operating cycles depends on the load, temperature, battery age and charge level. In a Master/Slave pair, each motor needs its own battery.
For a solar system, Solemyo use the designated connection and check the energy balance. When powered by Solemyo, the operator must not be powered from the mains at the same time. Also useful is Standby I/L4.
Two opposing sliding gate leaves – Master/Slave
A pair of compatible RUN1500P operators can control two sliding gate leaves that move in opposite directions. Each leaf must independently comply with the weight and operating limits. Using two motors does not increase the limit for a single leaf.
Connect the boards in this order: 1 Master → 1 Slave and 2 Master → 2 Slave, following the connector orientation shown in the diagram. Here, 1/2 indicate positions, not universal power supply +/−. Standard BlueBUS photocells are non-polarized.
- Install both motors and set their opening directions to oppose one another, according to the leaf geometry.
- With the power off, wire the boards according to the diagram. Shared devices and the radio receiver must be connected to the Master.
- Switch on the power and set the subordinate motor to I/L8 Slave ON.
- Program the devices on the Slave first, then on the Master. Run the travel learning procedure on the Master.
- Test coordinated operation, all safety responses and the end positions of both leaves.
The Slave can have its own FLASH, OGI, STOP and SbS; its SbS opens only the Slave leaf. OPEN, CLOSE and Aux In are not used on the Slave. Standby, peak, Slave, OGI and force can be set independently, and the Slave’s error history can be read. For backup power, each motor needs its own battery.
Diagnostics and troubleshooting
In the event of a fault, first count the quick FLASH flashes: the sequence repeats after a pause of about one second. Normal flashing during movement is about 0.5 s on / 0.5 s off. Disconnect all power supplies before carrying out repairs.
| Flashes | Meaning and next step |
|---|---|
| 1 | BlueBUS Changed or unrecognised device; check the wiring, addresses and device recognition. |
| 2 | Photocell Remove the obstruction, clean and align the optics; check the address and protected direction. |
| 3 | Force limitation Check manual movement, friction and end stops. Only then, if necessary, adjust the force and measure the safety forces again. |
| 4 | STOP Check the status of the contacts or safety edge and the STOP wiring. |
| 5 | Internal parameters Wait at least 30 s and repeat the command. If the fault persists, have the control unit serviced. |
| 6 | Operation limit The control board has limited operation; wait for it to cool down and check the permitted cycles. |
| 7 | Internal electrical circuit Disconnect all power sources for a few seconds and repeat the test. If it happens again, have it serviced. |
| 8 | Continuous command Check whether OPEN is held active or a timer is running; the control board is waiting for the command to be released. |
| 9 | Automation locked by a command Cancel the electronic lock using the appropriate unlock command. This is not the mechanical key release. |

| BlueBUS off | No power or a fault; check the supply and fuses. |
| BlueBUS continuously on | Serious fault; briefly disconnect all power sources. If it happens again, have it serviced. |
| BlueBUS 1×/s | Normal operation. Two quick flashes indicate an input change or a command received. |
| STOP on / off | On = normal status detected; off = STOP activated. |
| SbS / OPEN / CLOSE on | The corresponding contact or command is active. |
| L1 + L2 flashing | BlueBUS / STOP device recognition required. |
| L3 + L4 flashing | Leaf length learning required. |
Most common symptoms
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Remote control LED does not light up | Transmitter battery and correct polarity when replacing it. |
| Remote control lights up, but the gate does not respond | Receiver, transmitter registration and coding family; radio control. |
| No response and BlueBUS is off | Power supply and F1/F2 fuses. Find the cause of the fault first, then replace the fuse only with one of the same type and rating. |
| Movement reverses immediately | Obstruction, resistance in the track or sensitivity; do not increase the force without checking the mechanics. |
| Does not close automatically | I/L1, time II/L1, activated photocell/STOP or continuous OPEN command. |
| OGI does not indicate that the gate is open | Check II/L4 first; the factory setting is radio output 3. |
| Warning light does not work | FLASH wiring, compatibility and short circuit. Do not confuse the light pair with the antenna. |
History of the last eight operations
- Enter programming mode by holding STOP/SET until L1 flashes, then release.
- Use OPEN/CLOSE to select input L8. Hold STOP/SET for about 3 s.
- Lit LEDs indicate operations with an error: L1 is the most recent and L8 is the eighth from the end. While holding STOP/SET, use OPEN/CLOSE to select the required operation.
- The selected LED flashes a number of times according to the diagnostic table. Release STOP/SET.
Emergency movement if a safety device is faulty
The safest option is to release the gate and move it manually. Use the emergency hold-to-run command only when you have a full view of the clear area and under the conditions specified by the installer: issue the command; if the drive only reports an error, repeat the command within 3 s and hold it. After about 2 s, it will move only while the command is held. Safety detection may be impaired; have the device repaired immediately. Do not resolve the issue by permanently bridging the input.
Release and maintenance
Release only a stationary gate leaf, secured against unintended movement. Insert the supplied key and unlock the release mechanism as indicated on the drive; disengage the mechanism and move the gate manually. On versions with a release handle, it must also be opened after unlocking. To re-engage the mechanism, return it to position, lock it and remove the key. After restoring operation, check that the mechanism is properly engaged and verify the end positions.
Regular maintenance
Professional maintenance at least every 6 months or after 20,000 operations, whichever comes first. Check the anchoring, corrosion, track, pinion, rack, limit switches and all safety devices. Disconnect the mains and backup power supplies before checking the mechanics; repeat the test afterwards. Users may clean the photocell optics with a soft, damp cloth and remove obstructions while the drive is secured.
Maintenance reminder
| Percentage of the set limit | FLASH / OGI as a maintenance indicator |
|---|---|
| Below 80% | FLASH operates normally; OGI lights up for 2 s at the start of opening. |
| 81–100% | FLASH lights up for 2 s at the start of movement; OGI flashes during movement. |
| Above 100% | FLASH lights up for 2 s at the start and end of movement; OGI flashes continuously. |
The OGI function must be set to II/L4, value L7. The service limit is set by II/L7. It counts operating cycles, not years in service.
Reading the counter
- Enter programming mode and select input LED L7.
- Hold STOP/SET for about 3 seconds until the value LED lights up; keep holding the button.
- Briefly press OPEN and CLOSE together. The number of flashes of the value LED indicates multiples of 10% of the limit; for example, 4 flashes means 40–49%. Below 10%, the LED will not flash.
- Release STOP/SET.
Resetting the service counter
- Only after completing maintenance, enter programming mode and select input L7.
- Hold STOP/SET for about 3 seconds until the value LED lights up, then keep holding it.
- Press and hold OPEN and CLOSE at the same time for at least 5 seconds, then release them. Rapid flashing confirms that the counter has been reset.
- Release STOP/SET and check the set service limit.
Resetting the counter does not erase the remotes or control board settings. When changing accessories, use device learning; when resetting the travel limits, use travel length learning. When replacing the control board, commission and test the system for the specific control unit; the radio memory procedure applies to the receiver.
