Description of Steel rack 30x12mm, galvanized, M4
Steel gear rack galvanised. Each segment is 1 m long, 12 mm thick and has a tooth height of 30 mm. See drawing for other dimensions.
The gear rack is supplied with 3 weld-on nuts for mounting and 3 fixing screws. The nuts are primarily intended to be welded to the gate. The segments are compatible with each other and can be easily joined. There are 3 mounting points per metre of rack.
The gear module is 4 and is compatible with drives NICE in our range, as well as most drives from other brands.
Gear rack is made from high-quality steel and protected against corrosion by galvanising. This rack is primarily intended for heavy gates with a high number of cycles per day.
How many metres of gear rack do I need for my gate?
You will probably need a gear rack with a length equal to the clear opening width plus 1 m (or enough to extend a little beyond the drive's stationary pinion when the gate is closed). Example: My gate opening is 3.00 m wide, and the drive pinion axis is 30 cm from the start of the opening.
You will need approximately 3.50 m of gear rack. (Based on our experience, we recommend ordering 4.00 m to make sure you have enough.)
