Description of NICE PSS124 - backup battery for operators with integrated charging
NICE PSS124 backup battery with integrated charging for NICE gate operators with R30 control unit version. Provides backup power in the event of a power outage. Two connecting cables are included. >>Download the manual>>
Backup battery NICE PSS124 is designed for automated sliding gates, swing gates and garage doors with compatible NICE operators. In the event of a power outage, it supplies the operator with the energy needed to move the gate. The battery has integrated charging and recharges continuously while the operator is connected to the mains power supply. A fully charged battery allows approximately 10 operating cycles; the actual number depends on the operator, load, temperature and battery condition.
It is suitable for compatible control units of the R30 generation and is also backward-compatible with the older R10. The package includes two connecting cables for newer and older control units.

Installing the backup battery NICE PSS124
1. Disconnect the operator from the mains power supply
2. Connect the battery to the control unit
Select the supplied cable that matches the control unit. Connect and position the battery according to the instructions for the specific operator. Check the connector orientation and wiring in the operator's installation instructions.
3. Check the NICE PSS124 backup battery wiring
Step 3.1 When running on battery power, its LED L1 should be lit red. Also check the control unit's indicator according to its instructions. If the battery is discharged, connect the operator to the mains, let it charge for a few hours, then repeat the test.
Step 3.2 Connect the operator to the mains power supply. LED L1 flashing red at approximately one-second intervals indicates that the battery is charging. Fully open and close the gate while it is powered from the mains.
Step 3.3 Disconnect the operator from the mains power supply. Check that LED L1 is lit red, then fully open and close the gate while it is running on battery power.
Note: When powered by the backup battery, the operator may run at a lower speed even if a higher speed is set.
4. Reconnect the operator to the mains power supply
After a successful test, restore the mains power supply so the battery can recharge continuously.
