Description of Aluminium U-shaped retaining profile for slats, 20.5 mm wide, anthracite RAL 7016 textured finish
Aluminium fence slat mounting profile is U-shaped, with a textured anthracite RAL 7016 finish, making it suitable for installation between the posts on a gate, fence, or other opening. The profile's external width is 20,5 mm, its projection is 23 mm and its length is 2m, 3m or 6m.

On the outside of the profile there are recessed grooves for accurately positioning the screws horizontally. The ideal screws are stainless steel self-tapping screws, DIN 7982, with a countersunk head, 3,5x19 mm.
MOUNTING PROFILE COMPATIBILITY:
The profile is suitable for vertical installation of the following slat models:
Aluminium slats without a finish -
- rectangular, 16mm wide and available in heights of: 60mm, 80mm, 100mm, 120mm, 160mm, 200mm,
- parallelogram-shaped, measuring 108x16mm,
- and slats for completing the pattern when alternating slat heights: 20x16mm and an anodised slat, 20x16mm.
Aluminium slats in anthracite -
- with a smooth finish, rectangular, 16mm wide and available in heights of: 80mm, 100mm, 160mm,
- with a smooth finish: parallelogram-shaped, measuring 108x16mm,
- with a textured finish, rectangular, in the following sizes: 80mm, 100mm, 160mm,
- with a textured finish: parallelogram-shaped, measuring 108x16mm.

INSTALLATION METHOD FOR PARALLELOGRAM-SHAPED ALUMINIUM SLATS:
The U-shaped mounting profile has a recessed groove in which you can pre-drill the screw holes. Inside the hollow slat, there are guide grooves on both sides into which the screw fastens.
An anthracite parallelogram-shaped fence slat with a textured finish, together with a U-shaped mounting profile in the same colour and finish, creates a uniform, modern look.
The parallelogram-shaped slat can also be installed at an angle to create a louvre pattern, but you will need to use a 50mm-wide mounting profile.

INSTALLATION METHOD FOR RECTANGULAR ALUMINIUM SLATS:
As an example, we can use an 80x16 mm aluminium fence slat, rectangular, anthracite with a textured finish, in the same colour and finish as the mounting profile. For vertical installation, slide the mounting profile into the slat and screw it in place. A recessed groove runs down the centre of the mounting profile's outer face. You can pre-drill screw holes in it at intervals to suit your desired pattern. Once the slat is slid into the mounting profile, the screw fastens into the guide groove inside the slat.

FINISH
Aluminium is generally an excellent material, resistant to corrosion and weather, with a long service life. The mounting profile is made from EN AW-6060 T66 grade aluminium and comes with a textured anthracite RAL 7016 finish.
The profile is powder-coated. After application, the powder coating is cured in an oven.
This finish is characterised by a long service life and resistance to UV radiation and yellowing.. It is designed for use in construction, where lasting colour and gloss are essential.
Please note
The manufacturing process requires at the ends of profiles with a powder-coated finish approximately 1 cm at each end to be left uncoated so the profile can be held during painting. At the ends of the profile there is a small hole, which you should take into account. This hole does not interfere with installation, but if necessary, the end can simply be cut off.
