Description of Aluminium U-shaped fixing profile for slats, 20.5 mm wide, anthracite RAL 7016, smooth finish
Aluminium fixing profile for fence slats U-shaped, with a smooth anthracite RAL 7016 finish, making it suitable for installation between the posts on a gate, fence or other opening. The profile's external width is 20.5 mm, its projection is 23 mm and its length is 2 m, 3 m or 6 m.

On the outside of the profile there are recessed grooves for accurately positioning the screws horizontally. The ideal screws are stainless steel self-tapping screws DIN 7982, 3.5x19 mm, with countersunk heads.
FIXING PROFILE COMPATIBILITY:
The profile is suitable for vertical installation of the following slat models:
Aluminium slats with no finish -
- rectangular, 16 mm wide, in the following heights: 60 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm, 120 mm, 160 mm, 200 mm,
- parallelogram-shaped, measuring 108x16 mm,
- and slats for completing the pattern when alternating slat heights: 20x16 mm and an anodised slat, 20x16 mm.
Aluminium slats in anthracite -
- with a smooth finish—rectangular, 16 mm wide, in the following heights: 80 mm, 100 mm, 160 mm,
- with a smooth finish— parallelogram-shaped, measuring 108x16 mm,
- with a textured finish—rectangular, in the following sizes: 80 mm, 100 mm, 160 mm,
- with a textured finish— parallelogram-shaped, measuring 108x16 mm.

INSTALLATION METHOD FOR PARALLELOGRAM-SHAPED ALUMINIUM SLATS:
The fixing U-profile has a recessed groove into which you can pre-drill holes for the screws. Inside the hollow slat, guide grooves run along both sides to hold the screws.
An anthracite parallelogram-shaped fence slat with a smooth finish together with a fixing U-profile in the same colour and finish creates a cohesive, modern look.
The parallelogram-shaped slat can also be installed at an angle to create a louvre pattern, but you will need to use a 50 mm-wide fixing profile.

INSTALLATION METHOD FOR RECTANGULAR ALUMINIUM SLATS:
For example, an 80x16 mm rectangular aluminium fence slat in anthracite with a smooth finish, in the same colour and finish as the fixing profile. For vertical installation, slide the fixing profile onto the slat and screw it in place. A recessed groove runs down the centre of the outside of the fixing profile. You can pre-drill screw holes along it at intervals to suit your desired pattern. Once the slat is slid into the fixing profile, the screw engages with the guide groove inside the slat.

FINISH
Aluminium is generally an excellent material, resistant to corrosion and weathering, with a long service life. The fixing profile is made from EN AW-6060 T66 aluminium and supplied with an anthracite RAL 7016 finish.
The profile is powder-coated. After application, the powder coating is cured in an oven.
This finish is durable and resistant to UV radiation and yellowing.. It is intended for use in construction, where lasting colour and gloss are essential.
Note
The manufacturing process requires at the ends of profiles with a powder-coated finish approximately 1 cm of profile to be left at each end for holding during coating. At the ends of the profile there is a small hole, which you should take into account. This hole does not interfere with installation, but the end can easily be cut off if necessary.
