The operator is compact, safe and practical, making it ideal for both residential and commercial use. Durable plastic housing with built-in lighting.

The operator is suitable for automating a garage door with a door leaf area of 10.5m2 for a sectional garage door, 11.8m2 for an up-and-over garage door with protruding tracks, or 9.3m2 for an up-and-over garage door with non-protruding tracks. Types of garage doors. These values apply under the conditions specified by the manufacturer, such as weather conditions, temperature differences, door rigidity and, above all, smooth door operation. These conditions cannot always be achieved or controlled, so we recommend using the NICE Spinbus SN6021 operator with garage doors at no more than 80% of these values for optimal performance. See the section Choosing an operator for more information.

Very user- friendly technology BlueBUS allows you to power and control up to 6 pairs of photocells using a two-core cable. The operator also has a thermal fuse.

Adjustable speed,, force and pause time for automatic closing and more; see Programming.

Diagnostics using a warning beacon.

In the event of a power outage, the operator can be disengaged so the door can be moved manually. It is also possible to connect to the operator a NICE PS124 backup battery, which allows several operating cycles in the event of a power outage.

The operator control unit has a programmable input, to which you can connect a warning light, an open-gate indicator, an electromechanical lock or an electromagnetic lock.

The NICE Spinbus SN6021 is an electromechanical operator suitable for Slovakia’s climate and compliant with all European safety standards.

NICE Spinbus at a glance

Robusd 600 operator control unitNICE Spinbus is a range of non-reversible electromechanical geared operators for garage doors.. They are supplied with an SNA2 control unit. Compatible control units include SNA2, or SNA20. The control units have an SM connector for receivers radio signal NICE SMXI, or NICE OXI. Electrical connections for external devices (photocells, warning light, etc.) in the NICE Spinbus range of garage door operators were simplified by using BlueBUS, which allows multiple devices to be connected to a shared terminal using just one two-core cable, with no need to observe polarity. Automatic operation depends on the power supply, but in the event of a power outage you can, of course, disengage the geared motor and operate the gate manually. You can also purchase an optional NICE PS124 backup battery, which allows the gate operator to continue operating during a power outage.

Choosing an operator—is the operator NICE Spinbus SN6021 suitable for my garage door?

Every garage door has its own design (sectional, up-and-over, ...) and surface area and every operator has its limits. The following types of garage doors are commonly available on the market:

Sectional garage door Non-protruding up-and-over garage door *
Sectional garage door Non-protruding up-and-over garage door
Protruding up-and-over garage door
without springs* with springs
Protruding up-and-over garage door Protruding up-and-over garage door with springs

* To automate a non-protruding up-and-over garage door or a protruding up-and-over garage door without springs, you must install on the door NICE SPA5 swing arm.

Operator NICE Spinbus SN6021 can be used with the appropriate accessories for the following areas and leaf dimensions of each type of garage door:

  Sectional Up-and-over
protruding
Up-and-over
non-protruding
max. 10.5m2 max. 11.8m2 max. 9.3m2
3m guide rail

2.4m × 4.4m

2.8m × 4.2m
2.2m × 4.2m
4m guide rail 3.4m × 3.1m 3.5m × 3.4m 3.2m × 2.9m

In principle, the door leaf dimensions determine the maximum number of cycles per hour and consecutive cycles, i.e. they indicate how long the operator can run. Greater force (weight) further reduces the number of these cycles as a percentage, due to the greater load on the operator, and also determines the maximum permitted speed under that load. The operator is equipped with a device (thermal cut-out) that measures both the motor temperature and the ambient temperature, and reduces the number of possible cycles accordingly:

Installing the NICE Spinbus SN6021 operator

The installation method for the operator varies depending on the installation situation. For a door up to 2.5 m high, use a 3m guide rail; for a door up to 3.5m high, use a 4m guide rail. The guide rail can also be mounted on brackets fixed to the ceiling, or anchored directly to the ceiling using NICE SNA16 brackets.

Wiring

Typical (optionalTypical (optional) wiring for the operator and accessories is arranged as follows for the different types of gates as follows:

Installing the NICE Spinbus SN6021 drive

The mechanical installation of the drive consists of three steps:

  1. Pre-installation requirements
  2. Assembling the guide rail
  3. Attaching the drive to the assembled rail
  4. Attaching the rail and drive to the ceiling

0. Pre-installation requirements

I. The drive requires a certain amount of clearance for installation, particularly for the guide rail. You will need:

  • sufficient garage length (C+D) to accommodate the drive (approx. 3.5m for a 3m rail, approx. 4.5m for a 4m rail),
  • at least 4cm and no more than 40cm clearance between the top point of the door and the ceiling (A)
  • and the maximum distance between the guide rail and the ceiling (B) should be 40cm (a smaller distance is fine; the rail can even be installed directly on the ceiling).

See the illustration for a clearer idea:

NICE Spinbus pre-installation requirements 1/3

II. You also need to allow space for the drive unit itself: III. For an up-and-over garage door, the clearance between the underside of the guide rail and the highest point of the moving door leaf (E) must be at least 6.5cm and no more than 30cm while the door is opening:

Warning: If the above requirements are not met, the NICE Spinbus SN6021 drive cannot be installed, or an alternative mounting solution will need to be devised.

1. Assembling the guide rail

2. Attaching the drive to the assembled rail

1. You can attach the drive in one of three ways, depending on which position best suits your available space. 2. Attach the drive to the drive shaft coupling using the four supplied 6,3x38 screws.

3. Attaching the rail and drive to the ceiling

Based on the measured values for the clearance between the rail and the ceiling and the top of the door, mark two mounting holes exactly in the center of the door. Depending on the type, you can attach the front bracket:

Rivets can be used to attach it to the profile. Wall plugs and screws can be used to attach it to the wall. Alternatively, if the conditions allow, you can attach the rail directly to the ceiling.

After drilling the mounting holes, secure the front bracket, leaving the other end of the rail with the motor on the ground, then continue as follows:

1. Attach the mounting brackets using screws and nuts. Choose the holes in the brackets that best suit dimension B. 2. Using a ladder, lift the other end of the rail up to the ceiling and mark the holes in the brackets. Then place the rail back on the ground.

3. Drill holes at the marked positions, then use the ladder again to lift the rail with the opener into place and attach the brackets to the ceiling. 4. Make sure the rail is level, adjust it if necessary, and cut off the excess bracket material.

9. Move the door by hand to check that it moves freely, the trolley does not bind anywhere, and no excessive force is needed. 10. If necessary, move the opener's release cord to a suitable location in the garage. You can use eye bolts for this, for example.
