Description of Drive kit for sliding gates up to 400 kg/6 m NICE Slight SLH400 (B)
The compact Nice Slight SLH400 electromechanical gate operator is suitable for sliding gates weighing up to 400 kg or with a clear opening width of 6 m. With its dimensions of 191x198 mm the operator is suitable when installing a sliding gate where space for the operator is limited, or for design reasons.
Also, thanks to its built-in internal end stops there is no need to install end stops on the toothed rack. This makes it possible to install the operator in locations that would otherwise be more difficult to deal with:
- the sliding gate runs in front of the fence - the operator and toothed rack do not have to be installed on the outside; you can position them on the inside, right at the edge of the opening. With its narrow width of 19.1 cm, it reduces the opening by only a little, while keeping the operator on the inside.
- can be installed on a track-mounted sliding gate with very little overhang
The operator is supplied with a control unit NKA3R10 installed directly inside the operator. Popular practical control unit functions:
- control by remote controls via a radio receiver
- option to set automatic closing after a specified time or after passing through the photocells
- inputs for wired opening and closing, and for stepping through these commands
- 24 V output for additional devices
- programmable partial-opening distance for pedestrian access
- adjustable force and speed
- operator release in the event of a power failure
- option to connect two operators with automatic synchronisation for automating opposing sliding gates.
A backup power supply can be connected to the operator as an optional accessory NICE PS124, allowing the gate to complete several operating cycles even during a power outage. There is enough room inside the operator housing to fit the backup power supply.
The operator includes a built-in LED light NICE WLT which can be used as a warning beacon or for area lighting.
In principle, the control unit is NKA3R10 technologically very similar to the operator NICE Robus RB400.
The operator's drive gear has module 4 for the toothed rack.

The NICE Slight operator is also available in an exposed version, the NICE Naked Sliding NKSL400. It offers the same functionality but is supplied without a cover and is designed to be installed inside a 140x140 mm square profile, making the sliding gate operator invisible.
