Extended warranty
All metal components in this KIT are covered by an extended 36-month warranty. In addition to metal components the warranty also covers the bearing rollers in the carriages, which form the basis of the cantilever gate mechanism.
All automation electronics in our store are covered by the standard warranty of 24 months.
The invoice included with your delivery serves as your warranty certificate.
KIT description for making a cantilever sliding gate
Complete KIT for making a cantilever sliding gate for a clear opening width of up to 4.5m and a maximum total weight of 600 kg cantilever gate. A complete kit with a 6-metre C-channel is available at a discounted price. On request, we can supply the C-channel cut to whole-metre lengths, which can also be joined to achieve a clear opening wider than 4.5 m. It can also be joined to achieve a clear opening wider than 4.5 m.
The KIT includes support carriages for cantilever gates with five rollers fitted with heavy-duty bearings. The carriages can be adjusted and pivot, with adjustment used to fine-tune the gate's clearance from the ground, and the pivot allowing all bearings to be evenly loaded in both tension and compression. The carriages are supplied with mounting plates.
The kit also includes a bottom catcher and a lead-in roller, which reduce stress on the gate and also serve as stopping and safety elements.
The parts in this KIT are selected so you won't need to buy any additional components for a manually operated gate (you can, however, add items to the kit, such as a hook lock or a top catcher). To automate the gate, you can also buy a gate operator and electronic accessories (remote controls, warning light, photocells).
The C-channel is welded to the bottom frame of the gate. We recommend using a minimum size of 80x40x2mm for the bottom frame RHS; use 40x40, 60x40 or 80x40 RHS sections for the rest, depending on the clear opening, the overall length of the gate leaf and its intended weight. We can advise you. The gate frame must be sturdy and stable. Once you have the gate frame, mount the carriages on a concrete foundation (use steel anchors, chemical anchors, or cast the carriages directly into the foundation using threaded rods). We will send you the concrete foundation dimensions, together with other recommended procedures, along with the products. Alternatively, contactus and we'll be happy to advise you.
