CAIS selection of C-profile and trolley for a cantilever sliding gate based on opening width and weight
The Czech manufacturer CAIS offers C-profiles in three basic sizes:
- C-profile STAGE S dimensions 73x61x3,5 mm (galvanized version)
- C-profile STAGE M dimensions 98x86x5 mm (galvanized version)
- C-profile STAGE L dimensions 140x140x6 mm (galvanized version)
These profiles are available in raw steel or galvanized steel. Sizes S and M have a perforated top, allowing the structure of a cantilever sliding gate to be conveniently bolted in place. Size M profiles are available in two steel strength grades, which differ in load capacity and maximum passage width:
Compatible trolleys for the C-profiles are available in different shapes and with different numbers of wheels. S, ME and L trolleys are the most commonly used. SE trolleys are modular, i.e. they are bolted together from several parts. M trolleys have a shorter base plate than ME trolleys. Trolleys with the K suffix are designed for gates that close downhill; viewed from above, the trolley body is offset to one side of the mounting plate.
