iQGSM-R2 GSM module is designed for remotely controlling devices by giving them a free missed call from a mobile phone. The iQGSM-R2 also features an alarm function. Thanks to the alarm, you stay informed and can check the gate's status remotely at any time. Using the two output relay contacts, you can control a garage door, driveway gates, barriers, etc.
The advantage of the two relay contacts is that you can send two different commands to one device, such as a driveway gate. The first missed call opens the gate fully; the second opens it only partially.

How does the GSM key work?
As you approach the gate, give the GSM key a missed call from your mobile phone. It recognises the caller's number and carries out the command—opening or closing the gate. You can choose whether the GSM key can be controlled only by phone numbers stored in the device's memory (high level of security), or by SMS commands with a password (high level of security and unlimited number of users), or by giving it a missed call from any number (low level of security and unlimited number of users).

Three steps to get started quickly:
• connect four wires (two for power, two for control)
• insert a SIM card
• add users' numbers, either by giving the device a free missed call or remotely using SMS commands

If you install the iQGSM-R2 in a metal enclosure or in an area with poor signal, we recommend purchasing an external antenna (ANT1, ANT2), while in a plastic enclosure the signal can be boosted with a flat adhesive antenna.
Very low power consumption; powered directly from the drive (connect to the 24V terminals).
Alarm function:
The alarm can also be used with manually operated gates without a drive.. It can then be powered using an adapter. The control and alarm functions are separate and can also operate independently.
The sensor detects whether the gate is open or closed. If the gate remains open longer than the set time (adjustable from 1s to 24h), the owner receives an alarm call notifying them of a fault, that the gate has not closed, or that it has been tampered with.
After connecting the GSM key to your drive, mount the limit switch on the gate and connect it to the iQGSM-R2 using a two-wire cable. Only switch contacts may be connected to inputs IN1 and IN2, which are intended for connecting limit switches and sensors (not for supplying voltage). Limit switches are not included. The switch marked PH-42 is a waterproof magnetic switch in a robust metal housing for outdoor use. For the alarm function to work correctly, use this switch or another magnetic contact.
Example of using inputs IN1 and IN2 with gates:
Fit a magnetic contact to the gate that is closed when the gate is shut, and connect it to input IN1. Then set the time within which the gate must close (the magnetic contact must close). If the contact does not close within the selected time, the GSM module will call you. Input IN2 works more as protection against unauthorised gate opening. If you give the GSM module a missed call, IN2 is deactivated. Even if the magnetic contact is open, the GSM module will not notify you. However, if the contact opens without a missed call, the GSM module will notify you that the contact has opened.
