iQGSM-M2A GSM module is designed for remotely controlling devices by calling them from a mobile phone free of charge. The iQGSM-M2A product also features an alarm. Thanks to the alarm, you can keep track of things and check the gate’s status remotely at any time. You can use the output relay contact to control a garage door, driveway gates, barriers, etc.
The iQGSM-M2A GSM module includes a backup battery LiPol / 3.7V / 1000mAh for reliable operation even during a power outage, for up to 50 hours (when fully charged). The GSM module sends an SMS notification to up to 6 assigned numbers when the power supply fails and when it is restored.
The GSM module has 2 inputs (IN) for connecting various detectors and sensors. If an alarm is triggered, it notifies up to 6 phone numbers separately for each input, by SMS and by calling them. You can connect, for example, magnetic switches or a Dallas temperature sensor.

HOW DOES THE GSM KEY WORK?
As you approach the gate, call the GSM key from your mobile phone. It recognizes the caller’s number and carries out the command—it opens or closes the gate. You can choose whether the GSM key can be controlled only by phone numbers stored in the device’s memory (high level of security), or by SMS commands with a password (high level of security and unlimited users), or by calling it from any number (low level of security and unlimited users).

If you install the iQGSM-M2A in a metal enclosure or in a location with poor signal, we recommend purchasing an external antenna (ANT1, ANT2), while in a plastic enclosure, the signal can be boosted with a flat adhesive antenna.
ALARM FUNCTION:
The alarm can also be used with manually operated gates that have no drive.. In that case, it can be powered using an adapter. The control and alarm functions are separate and can operate independently.
The sensor detects whether the gate is open or closed. If the gate remains open longer than the time you set (adjustable from 1s to 24h), the owner receives an alarm call notifying them of a fault, failure to close, or intrusion.
After connecting the GSM key to your drive, install a limit switch on the gate and connect it to the iQGSM-M2A using a two-core wire. Only switch contacts may be connected to input IN, which is intended for connecting limit switches and sensors (not for supplying voltage). Limit switches are not included. The switch marked PH-42 is a waterproof magnetic switch in a robust metal housing for outdoor use. For the alarm function to work correctly, use this switch or another magnetic contact.
Example of using input IN with gates:
Attach a magnetic contact to the gate so that it is closed when the gate is closed, then connect it to the IN input. Next, set the time by which the gate should close (bringing the magnetic contact together). If the contact does not close within the set time, the GSM module will call you.
