Description of NICE CRA5 - chain tensioner with brackets for a cantilever gate
When using a shaft drive to move a suspended sliding gate a shaft with a sprocket is inserted into the drive's mounting hole CRA1. This drive is installed on one side of the passage, and on the other side, this NICE CRA5 drive-chain tensioner with a bearing-mounted sprocket is installed.
The two sprockets are connected using a chain or chains CRA4 and connectors CRA2. The suspended gate leaf (or leaves, in the case of two opposing leaves) is attached to this chain. Depending on the opening direction, the gate leaf is attached to either the upper or lower run of the chain loop. When automating two opposing suspended gates, one leaf is installed on the upper run and the other on the lower run of the chain drive, see the component layout diagram:
