Description of NICE CRA1 – 25.4 mm diameter shaft with 18-tooth gearing
NICE CRA1 is a 25.4 mm diameter shaft (1 inch) fitted with a sprocket CRA7 with 18 teeth.
It is used
- when the shaft drive is not mounted directly on the shaft of a sectional garage door, but is connected to the shaft via sprockets and a chain,
- or when the shaft drive is used to move a suspended sliding gate.
The CRA1 shaft, or rather its sprocket, CRA7 is compatible with CRA3 and CRA4.

1 pc. 25.4 mm diameter shaft
1 pc. 18-tooth sprocket NICE CRA7
1x locking bar for mounting in the drive
1x locking block for the sprocket
2x retaining rings (circlips)
Example of using the CRA1 shaft with sprocket
For mounting the drive away from the shaft:
Insert the CRA1 shaft with sprocket into the mounting hole in the drive, and fit a sprocket to the garage door shaft CRA6 or CRA7. Connect these two sprockets with a chain CRA3.
For using the drive to move a suspended sliding gate:
Insert the CRA1 shaft with sprocket into the mounting hole in the drive. Install the drive on one side of the passage/opening and the drive-chain tensioner CRA5on the other side. Connect these two sprockets with a chain or chains CRA4 and couplings CRA2. Attach the suspended gate leaf (or both leaves in the case of a bi-parting gate) to this chain. Depending on the opening direction, attach the gate leaf/leaves to either the upper or lower run of the chain loop.
