NICE gate operator beacons
A warning light connected to the gate operator usually consists of two parts—a warning light and a built-in antenna.
The warning light’s primary function is safety —it flashes to warn that the gate is moving, that something is happening in the passageway. It alerts pedestrians, cars, and the surrounding area that the gate may move across the passageway.
With selected control units may the warning light’s flashing serve as diagnostics —during gate operation, the warning light flashes regularly. If a problem occurs, the warning light indicates the type of fault with faster, successive sequences of flashes.
The warning light enhances convenience —its flashing confirms that the receiver has picked up the remote-control signal, so there’s no need to press the button again. Last but not least, it lights up the passageway.
The antenna boosts the signal reception from remote controls. For example, if your gate entrance is on a main road, you’ll appreciate being able to start the opening cycle from as far as 150 m away. You then arrive by car at a gate that is already open, partly open, or opening.
The range of remote controls is affected by the surroundingsin which the operator is located, but the antenna always increases the range. The warning light is expected to be installed in an exposed location, which improves the antenna’s effectiveness.
The antenna is also available separately, e.g. NICE ABF. Not every warning light has a built-in antenna.
