NICE PLA11 electric lock is designed for indoor and outdoor use on gates and gatelets that open automatically or manually swing gates and pedestrian gates. It operates in automatic mode by default; after removing the detachable component, it operates in semi-automatic mode. The electric lock is designed for horizontal use, but in principle it can also be installed vertically. For vertical installation, it is recommended to choose the alternative PLA10 electric lock.

Electric lock functions

The NICE PLA11 electric lock operates in automatic mode by default; after removing the detachable component, it operates in semi-automatic mode. In automatic mode, the lock is released by an electric pulse and locks only after the gate has subsequently opened and closed. In semi-automatic mode, after removing the detachable component, the lock is released only when an electric pulse is followed by manually pushing the gate leaf. To activate this function, push back the pressure plate G and pull out the plastic component F. |
Dimensions of compatible cylinders
The electric lock is supplied with a half cylinder. To determine the size of another cylinder you need, refer to the table below. It shows which size is suitable for the thickness of the gate material to which you are attaching the electric lock. Alternatively, you can use a single-sided cylinder with the dimensions shown in the drawing.
Fitting the cylinder
After selecting the correct cylinder, fit it in the electric lock as shown in the diagram below. Maintain the ideal 4mm clearance between the lock body and the top of the mechanical stop.
Electrical connection of the electric lock
Route the wiring through the rubber opening at the back of the lock and connect the cable as shown:
