Description of NICE PLA10 - vertical electric lock for swing gate, NICE-PLA10
NICE PLA10 electric lock designed for both indoor and outdoor use, for automatically or manually operated swing gates and pedestrian gates. It normally operates in automatic mode; when the removable component is withdrawn, it operates in semi-automatic mode. The electric lock is designed for vertical installation, but it can also be installed horizontally. For horizontal installation, we recommend choosing the alternative PLA11 electric lock.

Electric lock features

The NICE PLA10 electric lock operates in automatic mode; when the removable component is withdrawn, it operates in semi-automatic mode. In automatic mode, the lock releases with an electric pulse and locks only after the gate has subsequently been opened and closed. In semi-automatic mode, after the removable component is withdrawn, the lock releases only when an electric pulse is followed by manually pushing the gate leaf. To activate this function, push back the pressure plate G and pull out the plastic component F. |
Compatible cylinder dimensions
The electric lock is supplied as standard with a half cylinder. Use the following table to determine the required cylinder size; it shows which size is suitable for the thickness of the gate material to which you are attaching the electric lock. Alternatively, you can use a single-sided cylinder with the dimensions shown in the drawing. Alternatively, you can use a single-sided cylinder with the dimensions shown in the drawing.
Fitting the cylinder
After selecting the correct cylinder, fit it in the electric lock as shown in the diagram below. Maintain the recommended 4mm clearance between the lock body and the top of the mechanical striker.
Electric lock wiring
Route the wiring through the rubber grommet at the back of the lock and connect the cable as shown:
