Using a telescopic mechanism
This solution is used in places, where there is not enough space to open a standard cantilever gate. The opening is notionally divided into two parts, and each of the two gate sections covers approximately half of the opening. When open, the gate needs 36% less space than a standard cantilever gate.
Complete means that the package includes everything: lower C-guide profiles, carriages, upper guide, cables, and a thoughtfully designed guide mechanism that transfers force from one gate leaf to the other (see full package contents). All you need to do is make two frames and screw or weld them to the C-profiles.
The carriages are designed, so they can be anchored directly, without any additional modifications, to the concrete foundation (the first pair of carriages) and to the gate frame (the second pair of carriages). As a result, the bottoms of both gate sections align at the same height, without the need to adjust the carriages. If you make two frames, you can complete the on-site installation without welding, using only basic tools (drill, socket wrench set, etc.).
Cable mechanism transfers force from one gate section to the other, whether the force comes from the operator or from manual opening. This means both gates move at the same time.

With a standard sliding gate, the entire length of the gate must slide clear to open it. If you have a wide opening but not enough space to open the gate, a telescopic mechanism is a suitable solution. This mechanism divides your gate into two overlapping leaves that slide alongside each other. This lets you save up to 36% of the space needed to install the gate.
Compared with a standard gate installation, the telescopic system offers up to twice the speed. A telescopic gate consists of two sections: the first is driven by the sliding gate operator, and the second is pulled by a cable system. When the rear section opens, the cable system pulls the front section twice as fast as the rear section.
Installation of the telescopic kit is made as simple as possible. The components are precisely designed to perform their intended functions. There is no need to improvise anything on site. The C-profile has pre-drilled mounting holes, and the package also includes screws for attaching the gate frame.
The kit is made from high-quality German steel, and all components are galvanized. It was tested for 32,000 cycles without failure at temperatures from –37°C to +50°C.
The kit lets you adjust the second (front) gate section in three directions, helping you achieve smooth, precise gate movement and minimize mechanical resistance.
Telescopic gate operator
A telescopic gate can be automated using a standard sliding gate operator. The rack is fitted to just one gate section; the other section, which receives the force from the first, moves at twice the speed of the first section. A telescopic gate therefore opens faster than a standard cantilever gate. Standard 24 V sliding gate operators (e.g. NICE Robus) have adjustable speed, allowing you to set the gate's travel speed to suit your needs.
