NICE Robus RBS – how to connect a switch (video doorbell, intercom) to the operator

The home video doorbell/intercom is connected to the NICE Robus RBS drive via a volt-free contact to the SBS input (on older control units, it is labeled P.P.)
After connecting to this input, you need to run the “Recognition of connected drive devices” procedure on the Robus. Steps:

Recognition of connected drive devices

After connecting, disconnecting, or changing the wiring of any accessories on the BlueBUS inputs and STOP, the accessory recognition procedure must be carried out. The drive will alert you that this procedure needs to be run by flashing LEDs L1 and L2.

Nice Robus RBS accessory recognition

  1. Press the “Open” and “Stop/Set” buttons and hold them down
  2. As soon as L1 and L2 start flashing rapidly, release the buttons
  3. Wait a few seconds for the control unit (MCU1 / MCU4) to complete the device recognition process.
  4. If everything went as it should, the STOP LED should be lit and L1 and L2 should go out. Alternatively, L3 and L4 may start flashing if you have not yet completed the leaf length recognition procedure.
