The lock box is welded directly into the gate frame. Using this lock box eliminates the need to:
- cut an opening for a mortice lock,
- drill mounting holes for the lock,
- drill a hole for the handle,
- and mill an opening for the cylinder.
The lock box is 246 mm high, so you only need to cut from the gate profile approx. 25 cm and weld this lock box in place.
The distance between the handle axis and the centre of the euro-profile cylinder is 72 mm.
The distance between the mounting holes for mounting the lock from the front is 198 mm. The front face of the lock box has a recess stamped into it in the same shape as the front of the lock. This means that once the lock is fitted, its front face sits recessed, allowing for a minimal gap between the gate and the post.
