Description of Vehicle wheel chock with optical sensor
Galvanized wheel chock with optical sensor for securing a vehicle at a loading dock. Provides a signal indicating the vehicle is present and the wheel chock is in place for a control unit, relay, traffic light, light, or other device.
The heavy-duty galvanized steel wheel chock is designed to secure a truck at a loading dock. The integrated optical sensor detects when the chock is placed against a wheel and sends information about the vehicle’s presence to another device.
No special control unit from the supplier is required for use. Depending on the wiring, the signal can be connected to a compatible existing control unit or processed using a suitable relay or interface. It can then control the logic of a traffic light, lamp, loading dock or other device. The chock itself does not control these devices directly; it provides them with an input signal, and the resulting function depends on the wiring.
The chock is supplied with a 10 m electrical cable and a 5 m steel safety cable.
