Description of NICE FT210 - photocells with wireless/traditional wiring (1 pair)

In situations where it is not possible to run a cable across the driveway, you can install the photocells using a combination of wired and wireless photocells. This means that a photocell (RX receiver) on one side of the driveway is wired to the drive control unit, while a wireless, battery-powered photocell (TX transmitter) is installed on the other side.

Photocells NICE FT210 feature a standard relay connection, so in principle they can be connected to almost any control unit (including other brands) that supplies them with 24V power and has a relay-type safety photocell input.

The battery must be purchased separately; it requires a 3.6V size C battery ( FTA1) or AA (FTA2).

Battery life is stated by the manufacturer as follows for a standard connection:

  • approximately 24 months with a distance between the photocells of 7 m and 20 operating cycles per day
  • approximately 18 months with a distance between the photocells of 15 m and 20 operating cycles per day

If your control unit supports the photocell test function and you connect the photocells using this function, the manufacturer states the battery life as follows:
