Description of Hörmann EL401 - safety photocells, 437922
Hörmann EL401 safety photocells are installed facing each other across the gate opening, or at any point where there is a risk of the gate hitting an obstacle. They create an infrared beam which, when interrupted, sends a signal to stop the gate.
They consist of two synchronised components: a transmitter (TX) and a receiver (RX).
The photocell mounting shape is primarily designed for installation on the gate's sheet-metal bracket, but the units can also be fitted into any profile or plate with a 30 mm diameter hole. For a clearer idea, see the installation manual.
The photocells meet the IP65 protection standard, and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Connecting the photocells is easy thanks to the two 2-core cables, each 10 m long, included in the package.
