Description of BEA CONDOR XL - microwave/infrared motion detector
BEA CONDOR XL area scanner with dual technology, combines a radar (microwave) motion detector and an active infrared presence sensor in a single device. This means it can be used both to open gates and to detect objects and vehicles in the presence detection zone. The device is designed for detecting people as well as motor vehicles.
CONDOR replaces vehicle detectors and is extremely easy to install, with no need to cut into the road. It is a specialised radar for entrances to businesses and other premises. The infrared sensor, with 40 active infrared points for detecting objects and vehicles in front of the gate, helps reduce the time the gate stays open and also provides a safety feature that prevents the gate from closing when an obstacle is present.
Suitable for busy business entrances where automatic opening of a gate or an exit barrier is required.
Microwave sensor detection area: up to 4 x 2 m; active infrared sensor detection area: up to 3 x 3 m depending on the detector's operating range setting, mounting height (2–3.5 m) and vertical adjustment using the locking screw.
The detector includes the option to filter out surrounding vehicle or pedestrian traffic, to eliminate unwanted detection.
