Description of BEA CONDOR - microwave/infrared motion detector
BEA CONDOR area scanner with dual technology, combines a radar (microwave) motion detector and an active infrared presence sensor in one device. This allows it to be used both to open gates and to detect objects and vehicles in the presence zone. The device is designed for detecting people as well as motor vehicles.
CONDOR replaces vehicle detectors and is extremely easy to install without cutting into the road. It is a special radar designed for entrances to businesses and other premises. The infrared sensor, with 40 active infrared spots for detecting objects and vehicles in front of the gate, helps reduce how long the doors are held open and provides a safety feature that prevents the gate from closing when an obstacle is present.
Suitable for busy business entrances where the gate or barrier needs to open automatically on exit.
The detection range of the microwave sensor is up to 4 x 5 m, and that of the active infrared sensor is up to 3 x 3 m depending on the detector's operating range settings, mounting height (3.5–6 m), and vertical adjustment using the locking screw.
The detector features the ability to filter out nearby vehicle or pedestrian traffic, to prevent unwanted detection.
