Description of Adjustable screw-on hinge with locknut – narrow plate

Adjustable hinge with a rectangular mounting plate and locknut. The plate is designed for anchoring to a brick or concrete post. 

The hinge has an adjustment feature using a swivel nut. This adjustment lets you fine-tune the distance between the gate leaf and the post. Even if the post the hinge is anchored to shifts over time (for example, due to frost), simply turn the nut with a wrench to adjust the hinges so the gate leaves are aligned.  

The part of the hinge that is welded to the gate can be removed using an Allen screw (see drawing). 

The hinge is made of steel with an electro-galvanized finish. The U-shaped piece welded to the gate is unfinished.
