Description of Adjustable screw-on hinge with locknut

Adjustable hinge with a square mounting plate and locknut. The plate is designed for anchoring into a brick or concrete post.. 

The hinge has an adjustment feature using a rotating nut. This adjustment lets you fine-tune the distance between the gate leaf and the post. If the post the hinge is anchored to shifts over time (for example, due to frost), simply turn the nut with a wrench to adjust the hinges so the gate leaves are aligned.  

The part of the hinge welded to the gate is removable using an Allen screw (see drawing). 

The hinge is made of steel with an electrogalvanized finish. The U-shaped part welded to the gate is unfinished.
