Nice Wide – sturdy, high-quality barriers
Barriers for regular use, 100–300 cycles per hour
Nice Wide traffic barriers offer a simple and effective way to control entry to and exit from sites, businesses, companies, car parks and other secure areas.
Benefits of the Nice Wide barrier
Easy installation
Large front door for easy access. The boom can be easily installed on either the left or right side of the entrance. Easily removable reinforced gearbox bracket.
Safety and durability
Safety photocells can be installed inside the barrier. A minimal number of external components ensures high security and vandal resistance.
Maintenance and installation
The control unit can be easily removed for programming or servicing. Optional backup power supply NICE-PS324, which keeps the barrier operational during a power outage.
Convenient manual release
Simple, intuitive release using a triangular key. The release mechanism is concealed and protected from the elements.
Detailed overview of the Nice Wide barrier
The Nice Wide automatic barrier features a 24 V DC geared motor with a built-in control unit, adjustable speed and anti-impact safety functions.
Available in two versions of the housing (cabinet) for the barrier: galvanised steel and stainless steel (inox), and three different boom lengths — from 3 to 7 metres.
Maximum safety
If the boom detects an obstacle while opening or closing (if it hits something), it returns to its original position
Adjustable speed
from 3.5 s (Wide M) to 5 s (Wide L) for fast opening
Reliable and easy to install
Wind-resistant elliptical aluminium boom. Quick installation thanks to the special profile.
Optional joint that allows the boom to be manually folded to the side (also protects it in the event of a collision).
The boom can be installed on either the right or left side.
Backup power supply
A backup power supply can be installed inside the barrier to keep it operating during a power outage.
Non-reversible drive, manual release
The barrier has a non-reversible drive, so it is locked when closed. Use the triangular key to release the barrier and operate it manually.

What is included with a standalone NICE Wide barrier?
What is included with the standalone barrier?
All the components of the standalone barrier are housed inside the cabinet, so you first need to remove the top and side covers. The control unit and all the mounting accessories listed below are already inside. Photos are provided for each part to help you identify it.
The quickest way to access the components is to remove the spring brackets.
Base plate
Base plate SIA2 is stored against the inner wall of the cabinet and wrapped in film. The anchors and screws are in the included installation box.
Screws, anchors, release key
In addition to the anchors for the base plate mentioned above, the installation box contains the other necessary screws, a release key, cross wedges for securing the boom bracket, and end caps for the boom.
Boom bracket
The bracket consists of two parts: a main piece and a matching counterpart. The lower part is securely fastened with cross wedges and four screws. Then simply insert the boom (ideally with the reinforcement) and screw the top piece into place.
Reinforcement for the arm for the WIDEL series
The arm reinforcement is a short piece of metal shaped like the arm itself. Simply insert it into the arm; it does not need to be fitted.
Arm end caps
The end caps for the arm consist of three parts: one large piece that is screwed on, and two types of end caps that simply snap into the large piece. If your arm has no lights or protective rubber strip, simply use the rounded end caps. However, if the arm is extended with the aforementioned lights or protective rubber strip, use the end caps with a protrusion.
