Description of Post base with a free top plate
|
Static welded two-piece post anchor base with adjustable height is suitable for anchoring timber posts or pillars to a substrate using steel anchors or screws with a diameter of 10 mm.
The following fasteners can be used to attach the post: convex nails with a diameter of 4 mm, or screws with a diameter of 10 mm. Available threaded rod diameters: M16, M20 and M24.
The post base is electro-galvanized. |

Load capacity of a post base with a separate top plate
The load capacity of the base is determined by the load capacity of the individual plates. The threaded rod has a considerably higher load capacity than the plates, so it does not affect the load capacity of the base.
Recommended fasteners: Convex nails 4x60 mm, or structural screws for the post. Use segment anchors in the substrate.
The anchor base is designed for anchoring timber posts and pillars to a horizontal load-bearing structure, with the timber element raised above it.
