IP protection ratings

The standard protection rating for outdoor electronics is IP44, which covers most sliding gate operators, swing gate operators, photocells, warning lights, key switches etc. Selected models (Titan, Hopp, Hyke, MBar, LBar, ...) have a protection rating of IP54, which means they are slightly more resistant to dust and impact.

Underground motors typically have a protection rating of at least IP67, as they may be temporarily submerged in water.

Indoor electronics and remote controls usually have a protection rating of IP30, IP40, IP41, which means they are generally resistant to mechanical damage, but don't take well to water.
