Electric strike locks without memory and without unlocking
A latch-type electric strike without memory or an unlocking option is a simple access-control device that works only while the electrical impulse is active.
Without memory:
- The lock unlocks only while an electrical signal is present.
- When the power is disconnected, it immediately returns to its original locked position.
- It does not retain its unlocked state after the impulse ends.
No unlocking option:
The lock is not equipped with a mechanism for permanent unlocking.
By default, the lock is mechanically locked. The door is held shut by a latch that blocks movement. When an electrical impulse is applied to the lock, the electromagnetic coil is activated. The coil either moves the latch directly or releases its catch, allowing the door to open.
When the signal is interrupted, a spring or another mechanical system immediately returns the mechanism to the locked position. The door locks again.
Used where the door must lock immediately once access is released. For example, in office buildings or apartment buildings. Suitable for entrances requiring temporary access, such as one-way doors to storage areas.
Where it is important that the door remain locked without a power supply (e.g. during a power outage), the lock can be paired with an emergency power supply.
