A typical situation involving the ON3EBD transmitter in an environment with a high level of radio signal interference

The ON3EBD two-way remote control has a built-in receiver that receives status responses from the gate operator. This means that, in theory, it may (but doesn’t have to—and often doesn’t) receive the rolling codes of other devices in the home transmitting on the same frequency, even when in standby mode (boiler or air-conditioning thermostat, weather station, alarm, wireless doorbell, keyless car entry, etc.). Interference from other wireless devices can cause the following issues with the ON3EBD remote control:

  • Rapid battery drain
  • Short range of the remote controls
  • Other

The solution is to reprogram the entire remote control to unidirectional mode:

1. Switching to unidirectional mode:
To switch the entire remote control to unidirectional mode, you must follow these steps for each button on the remote control.

  1. Press the “i” button on the ON3EBD remote control three times.
  2. Press and hold the button you want to switch on the remote control until the LED lights up red.
  3. Done

 2. Pair the remote control with the operator again:

Storing in memory in Mode I. Storing in memory in Mode II.
  1. Press the R (RADIO) button on the control unit (or the button on the receiver) and hold it until the R (RADIO) indicator (or the indicator on the receiver) lights up, then release it.
  2. Within 10 seconds (or while the indicator is lit), press and hold any button on the remote control until the R (RADIO) indicator on the control unit (or receiver) flashes three times, then release the button on the remote control.
  3. To pair additional remote controls, repeat step 2. You have 10 seconds to repeat step 2 after pairing the last remote control.

Storing the remote control in memory in Mode II is done in two steps:

1. Select the command

Number Command
1. „Step-by-step“
2. „Partial opening“
3. „Open“
4. „Close“

2. Pair the remote control

Procedure:

  1. Press the R (RADIO) button on the control unit (or the button on the receiver) as many times as the command you want to assign to the button, according to the table.
  2. The R (RADIO) indicator on the control unit (or receiver) flashes as many times as the command you want to store (and continues flashing).
  3. If the number is correct, within 10 seconds (or while the indicator is flashing), press and hold the desired button on the remote control until the R (RADIO) indicator on the control unit (or receiver) flashes three times, then release the button on the remote control.
  4. To pair buttons on additional remote controls with the same command, repeat step 3. You have 10 seconds to do so after pairing the last remote control.
